The William and Catherine Bauer Wurster Society was created to recognize the special role of donors who make leadership gifts to the CED Fund. The Society acknowledges William Wurster's role as the first dean of the college and Catherine Bauer Wurster, the first woman faculty member in the Department of City and Regional Planning and an internationally renowned housing expert.

The Wurster Society recognizes individuals and Professional Members who support CED with unrestricted gifts of $1,000 and above. Its establishment reflects the value the college places on gifts of discretionary funds that can be used to meet high priority needs that would not otherwise be met and to capitalize on unexpected opportunities as they arise.

Benefits of being a Wurster Society member include priority seating at all lectures, invitations to special CED events and the annual Wurster Society Dinner, recognition in the annual CED Honor Roll, CED's magazine FRAMEWORKS, and on the new CED website.
