The updated Mentorship Program is ready to accept applications from students and mentors. Now at a standalone website, the CED Mentorship & Alumni Network’s social-networking interface matches students and mentors into working and rewarding relationships. Created in 1992 by Larry Kennings (A.B. Land. Arch. '67) and the newly formed CED Alumni (CEDA), the CEDA Mentorship Program offers students opportunities to develop a better understanding of the various professions in the field of design through the insight of knowledgeable alumni. This program exposes students to a range of opportunities that demonstrate what it “really means to be a design or planning professional” as well as access to professional advice regarding resume and portfolio development and career options. One of the strengths of the College of Environmental Design is its strategic partnership with practicing professionals, many of whom are CED graduates. CED immensely appreciates participating alumni and professionals for their generous contributions to the program in enriching academic experience of students, the college, and the profession at large. By participating, mentors are also allowed the opportunity to develop connections with other CED alumni. The Mentorship Program is not an internship program, meaning there is no credit and there is no cost to participate. Sign up here today. |
