Financial Aid Print

Graduate Fellowships

If you are applying for graduate fellowships, you must submit materials to the department to which you are applying by December 15. For more information, contact your department's student affairs officer.

Need-Based Financial Aid

The University offers a variety of financial aid programs to help students meet their educational expenses. Financial aid is awarded on the basis of demonstrated financial need and is available to all citizens of the U.S. and to international students who hold either an immigrant or refugee visa. Among the types of aid offered are loans, grants, work-study, scholarships, and fellowships (for graduate students). Contact the Financial Aid Office for complete details.

Students applying for Federal student aid must use the “Free Application for Federal Student Aid” (FAFSA). Students generally must apply for financial aid six to nine months in advance of the award period. The deadline for entering students is March 2. Late applications are subject to the availability of funds after the needs of on-time applicants have been met.

Prizes & Awards

The Departments of Architecture and Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning offer and advertise a number of cash prizes and awards for which students may apply. More information may be found at the links below or by contacting department advisors.
