External Relations Program Assistant III

Description

As an External Relations Programs Assistant, you will support the CED ER Program Manager and provide logistical support for CED external educational programs. Assists in the development of marketing materials for target audiences (e.g. print, online and social networking), assists in coordinating admissions and all program logistics. This is a great opportunity for an outgoing person to gain marketing/communications and project/program management skills.

Office administration duties include drafting program correspondence, tracking attendance, creating program materials, reconciling accounts payable, creating promotional materials, and general program management. Projects will include supporting a variety of CED programs both at the national and international level.

Qualifications

Strong communication and writing skills. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required. Proficiency with graphic design in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop) is preferred. Demonstrated ability to work effectively and efficiently within a team and as an individual. Strong organizational and communication skills necessary with the ability to work on several projects simultaneously.

Job Description

Under the direction of Summer Institute Director and Program Manager:

  • Respond to inquiries from prospective applicants regarding the three Summer Institute(s) programs.
  • Research similar programs, compile and organize data which will be used to assist with the continued development of the CED summer program.
  • In consultation with program manager organize and review student applications.
  • Provide applicants with registration instructions.
  • Assist in coordinating the schedule of guest lecturers for the Environmental Design 2 course.
  • Assist with planning and coordinating student reviews.
  • Assist with the planning and coordinating Summer Institute events.
     

Qualifications

  • Must be a continuing CED graduate student.
  • Must be detail oriented and well organized.
  • Must be competent using Word, Excel and Adobe (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop).
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Must be extremely reliable.
  • Must have good communication/interpersonal skills.
  • Must have strong writing skills.
