Problems printing from Macs (Update) - 2009-02-23 13:19 - gvinson [Announcement]
There is a problem between the latest Mac OS update and the Novell iPrint client; Novell engineering is aware of the situation, and is developing a solution. Until the solution is released, you will not be able to print from the Mac OS using iPrint. As a workaround you can save your files in a format readable on a PC and then print from one of the Lab or studio computers. Mac users running Windows should not be affected and should be able to print normally. We are sorry for the inconvenience and will post a notice as soon as a solution is found. The problem seems to be solved by installing a combo pack update from Apple. The installer files can be obtained from: http://support.apple.com/downloads/Mac_OS_X_10-5-6_Combo_Update [^]

Printing transparencies... - 2009-02-23 13:27 - gvinson
Transparency media is not allowed to be used in any CED printer. So far this semester we have had to spend $700 just to repair damage from transparencies melted in our laser printers. The only thing allowed in our laser printers is paper provided by the College. Any damage to printers as a result of using unauthorized materials will be charged back to the student found responsible.
