Introduction to Color Digital Photography: Sights and Spaces

Students should add this course for three units. This course will use the visual vocabulary of the digital camera as a way to record, respond and create. Students will gain technical mastery over the camera, image workflow, image editing, printing, and other forms of presentation. Exposure to the history and to the most current trends of the medium will broaden students' understanding of how photographs speak. Topics of discussion will include lighting, timing, creating a sense of place, and building a narrative structure.
