Iwamoto is Principal of IS.Ar IwamotoScott Architecture, a practice formed in partnership with Craig Scott in 1998. Honors and awards include Metropolis Magazine “Next Generation” Award runner-up; Architectural League of New York Young Architects Award: Material Process; and I.D. Magazine’s Design Award. SYMPOSIUM — Spatial Recall: The Place of Memory in Architecture and Landscape

Spatial Recall assembles a group of accomplished scholars and design professionals to discuss the role of memory found or built in the environment and/or in their work. The program will cover the subjects of cemeteries and memorials, issues of preservation and neglect, the reuse of
past styles, the natural courses of rivers, the destruction of the architecture and landscapes of prior political regimes, the role of cultural landscapes in landscape architecture, and connections between the arts and environmental design. LAEP COLLOQUIUM — Designing a Soft Water Path: Stormwater Designs from North America & Europe, Rosey Jencks

Rosey Jencks works at the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) as a watershed and stormwater planner and is developing SFPUC polices for implementing low impact designs for stormwater throughout the city. She was a co-founder of the San Francisco Green Schoolyard Alliance and is committed to urban greening in all her work. In 2005, Rosey received UC Berkeley’s Geraldine Knight Scott Award, which allowed her to complete a seven-county tour looking at examples of multi-purpose stormwater management.
