2010 Commencement Print

Friends and family of graduating students in architecture, city and regional planning, landscape architecture and environmental planning, urban design, and visual studies filled UC Berkeley's Greek Theatre on an unseasonably rainy Monday, May 17, 2010, for the commencement ceremony of the College of Environmental Design.

Cecilia Estolano, J.D., Chief Strategist on State and Local Initiatives for Green For All, gave the keynote address. Benjamin Golder (A.B. Architecture ‘10) and Mariana Parreiras (M.C.P./M.S. Transportation Engineering ‘10) gave the undergraduate student address and the graduate student address, respectively. (Pictured above in order from left to right, with CED Dean Jennifer Wolch.)

The 2010 CED/CEDA Distinguished Alumni Award recipients were Michael Painter (B.S. Landscape Architecture ‘56) (pictured center-left, above), Frederic Schwartz (B.A. Architecture ‘73) (left, above), and Amy Glasmeier (Ph.D. City and Regional Planning ‘86) (right, above).
