The Judith Lee Stronach Undergraduate Travel Scholarships
To honor Judith Lee Stronachs legacy and love for art, architecture and travel, the Judith Lee Stronach Undergraduate Travel Scholarships encourage the study of new places, cultures and peoples, as well as commitment to social responsibility, within the context of a formal study-abroad program, nonprofit internship/volunteer work, or fieldwork related to an undergraduate thesis. Awarded each summer and winter, the scholarships are open to undergraduate students majoring in architecture, landscape architecture or urban studies in the College of Environmental Design at the University of California, Berkeley.
This winter, 3–6 scholarships will be awarded for travel between December 21, 2013–January 20, 2014. Winter scholarship specifically supports independent research, which may include undergraduate thesis research. The application deadline is 11:59 p.m., October 14, 2013. Scholarship recipients will be announced on November 15, 2013. APPLY NOW!
Check back in late January for the summer 2014 application, which supports travel related to formal study-abroad programs, nonprofit internship/volunteer work, and undergraduate thesis fieldwork.
