March 15, 2007 In recognition of Kaye Bock's many efforts to keep students enrolled during difficult financial times, the Bock Family and the Department of City and Regional Planning established in January 2007 the Kaye Bock Memorial Fund for Community Building and Citizenship, to be used for graduate student aid in DCRP. Initial donations exceeded $10,000, converting this fund into an endowment. DCRP is indebted to Kaye for her tireless efforts and to donors for providing this much-needed support for the department. Donations may be written to "College of Environmental Design," with a notation in the memo line, "Kaye Bock Memorial Fund," and addressed to: Department of City and Regional Planning Kaye Bock, who passed away January 16, 2007, was DCRP's Student Affairs Officer for over 20 years. Please visit Kaye's memorial website at http://www.kayebock.net/ to read about her impact on the lives of people in the DCRP community. Many thanks to Master of City Planning candidate Brendan Nee for setting up this beautiful tribute to Kaye. |
