Award Amount $2,500 (approx.) | Deadline 3 p.m., April 15 | Apply The Bakewell/Brown & Bakewell/Weihe Prize is offered for the best drawings of decorative detail or ornament in architecture. Entries are evaluated on their excellence of composition, aesthetic expression, technical skill, and choice of subject matter. Eligible applicants are all students in the College of Environmental Design enrolled full-time in at least one semester of the current academic year. Lyon Prize in Photography honors exceptional undergraduate work in photography, including but not limited to fine art photography and documentary work. Eligible applicants are undergraduate students in any major at UC Berkeley. Deadline 4 p.m., April 15 | Past Winners | Apply Ong & Ong, an international architecture and design firm, offers two one-year internships of carefully planned professional practice at its Singapore headquarters. Award is open to both Architecture and Landscape Architecture graduate students. Recipients are selected by a jury comprised of Architecture and Landscape Architecture faculty members. Award Amount $2,000-$9,000 (2-7 students) | Deadline 4 p.m., March 16 | Apply The Gadsby-Trudgett Scholarship is given by the Architecture Department to students enrolled in the College of Environmental Design who show evidence of broad interest in environmental design. Eligible applicants are CED undergraduates enrolled in the Fall 2012 semester with a minimum GPA of 3.3. Deadline 5 p.m., March 10 | Past Winners | Apply The Stronach travel scholarships are open to undergraduates at the College of Environmental Design and are meant to encourage the study of new places, cultures and peoples, as well as commitment to social responsibility, within the context of a formal study abroad program. Non-CED Awards for Students in Architecture Graduate and Undergraduate
The fellowship, in memory of documentary photographer Dorothea Lange, encourages the use of photography (black and white or color) in the scholarly work of any discipline at UC Berkeley. Eligible applicants are UC Berkeley faculty, graduate students, or seniors who have been accepted for graduate work at UC Berkeley. Upon demonstrating outstanding work in documentary photography and a creative plan for future work, the Dorothea Lange Fellow will be awarded $4,000 and two archival prints of their work will be placed in the Bancroft Library permanent collection. Award Amount Up to $25,000 | Deadline 4 p.m., March 1 | Past Winners | Apply The Judith Lee Stronach Baccalaureate Prize supports intellectual and creative pursuits that heighten awareness of issues in social consciousness and public good. The prize, up to $25,000 per recipient, is annually awarded to undergraduate students of any area of study who strive to undertake a special project after graduation. Proposals for humanistic research or public service projects involving the arts, humanities and social or natural sciences are welcome. Eligible students are those awarded an undergraduate degree in the fall of the year before or the spring or summer of the year in which the prize is awarded. The prize cannot be used to support graduate study or any credit-granting courses.
